GCSE Drama

In 1998, the Gobstoppers team where made aware that many of the children who were members were interested in doing more than one arts-based GCSE at school, but were unable to do so because of time-tabling and curriculum constrictions. It was then that we decided to run GCSE courses in Drama, thus enabling those children to have a greater flexibility in their school choices, and indeed in their choices for their future careers.

Over 110 candidates have taken GCSE examinations through us. Increasingly, due to Gobstoppers reputation, results and their level of commitment to the children, requests for the GCSE course have increased from parents, students and recently, children from outside the organisation to ask if they can take the qualification here, through and with Gobstoppers.
